As you may know, i am an avid Knight Rider fan. I downloaded a few episodes which were .ASF and .AVI the problem im having is that after I downloaded them, some how they are recognized as (.asf) as .wmv and (.avi) as .mpeg I wanna know how 1. How to change the "mpeg" back to avi and the "wmv" back to .asf 2. If I can get an answer for 1, Are there any .asf converters that convert .asf to mpeg or avi? I'm running 98SE with windows media player 9.1 and I downloaded the files with Kazaa Lite 2.0.3 If you can help, I appreciate it

Well, you could make a backup of the files and then change the extensions back to what you think they were...

Well, these files are fully functional, no signs of viruses, only problem is is that these files are confusing my VCD program into thinking these files hold no video because of their false extensions. BTW, how do i change extensions?

BTW, how do i change extensions? goto Folder Option in Tools in any open folder, click the view tab and scroll down to Hide known file extnesion and uncheck it...now find the fils and change the last three letters in the name after the "." remember to set it backto hide so that you do not mess up other files...
