Its already possible to have a terrabyte system, but it will cost about 1000 bux to get everything ready. When will you upgrade your system to that size?

Between my GF and I, we are heating a couple of rooms with over 330GB, plus I have a couple drives unconnected with backup on them. Last time I checked our overall drive space is over half full...around 180GB. Just started getting into duping and creating DVDs, so I think that will increase very quickly. The type of work that really uses up drive space is media work like video editing and print media. I have seen large photoshop files that are comps to be printed into backdrops, bilboards, and even vinyl "wallpaper" that are 10GB a piece or larger. Not only do you need the drive space, but also the ability to move large files around with some decent speed is essential. Also, an equal or larger amount of space is needed for scratch and temp folders to edit these files.

Man, you are heading for a TB or more pretty soon then....That is more psce than I think I will ever need though. But if I had some that space it would be reassuring becuase you never know.

I've had an 80 gig for over a year, and I'm not even close to 50% full, so I don't think I'll ever need that much space.

yeah as the AMD's brother i must agree that nobody on a PC really needs a terabyte of space i mean come on really Kazaa is merely 19 terabytes of video, audio, and stuff like that its not like your gonna download everything on kazaa

Actually, its more like 5,000 terrabytes of stuff on Kazaa right now. Anyway, the designers at General moters have 2 computers with 32 gigs of ram and 64 terrabytes HDD memory. Or something like that.
