Hey All, I am looking for a fully capable Linux compatible motherboard. I need one for a server build with onboard video, audio and ethernet. What needs to be fully compatible is the drivers. The video, and ethernet are most important. Audio is not real biggy but it'd be a nice addition. This server will be running RedHat Linux 9. Thanks all.
I'm also looking for a RAID 1 card that is fully compatible with Linux.
Any ideas?

I've been through that whole list and all of that hardware is pretty old as a matter of fact and it is not complete at all like they claim.

I've never encountered a motherboard that wouldn't accept Linux.

I've never encountered a motherboard that wouldn't accept Linux. What AMD is concerned with is the availablity of drivers for onboard devices. That can be a problem. Although I suspect that server boards with onboard devices should have componets that are older and well developed (drivers) industry standards. After all, the most popular server OS is flavors of Unix/linux.

Exactlt, moflsh03. Thanks for explaining but I have just been enlightened because I have found out that some drivers of other breeds may work on other devices. Thanks all...
