I personally admire the efforts that were put into Half-Life and the whole complete series. It is a great game. Not too difficult not too easy and yet very interesting. Although it is fairly old, it will forever remain a great game in my eyes.

MOH: Allied Assault is fun. Not the best looking, but fun as hell. I'm a real fan of Unreal Torunament 2003. I dun play that online due to the fact that til I get a new graphics card, I'd leg up and get my ass kicked. Allied Assault is great to play online though.

I dont play much, but I have lost myself in MOH series and the newest castle wolfenstein. (you cannot beat shooting nazis and zombies now can you?!) GF and I got UnrealII and it looks great, but when theres alot going on it really is putzing out to the point of being unplayable. I need to look into this...if its because our gaming box is just getting long in the tooth or maybe its vid card settings. ?? Any expert gamers in the house??...I'm talkin' about equipment wise. LOL..I play Wavy Navy via an appleIIe emulator almost everyday. Its brain candy to meditate on ;D

Silver was great fun, graphics are descent for their age, prerendered backgrounds and 3d characters (8-bit palleted like FF7), music is top notch in my books (also considering its' age) I usedd to play it on my old 133 Requirements Pentium 166 8x CDrom 32mb Ram 2mb graphics card Directx 6.1 The weapon system is pretty cool, you use the click of your mouse and slide your mouse in a different directions to get a different kind of attack, and some of those attacks are extra effective against different enemies or defending enemies, you get a party containing 6 characters, with their own strengths and abilities, the magic system is descent, but for the magic system to be totaly effective they would have had to change the whole battle system, but it still remains to be quite good and unique, storyline is average, but also effective enough to keep you playing. I highly recomend if you see this game in a store buy it, it shouldn't be anymore than $10, i bought it for $20cnd like 2-3years ago ;D

That doesn't look too bad...Why must it be played on your old system?
Does it not work on newer hardware?

But its nothing that can terminate game play right?
It's just some background effects...

Anybody here play Alice? I gave it to my Niece for Xmas last year and I found myself loving it ..just to watch her play it was fine with me. when it comes to a strange sense of humor and awsome background art, I give Alice a 10! And I almost forgot what my fav game is! Grim Fandango!! Theres nothing like it out there...its very deep and very strange! Too bad Lucas Arts is all hung up on those stupid StarWars games and not pursuing anything as interesting as Grim again. Always knew Lucas was a one trick pony anyway...so I guess I'm not surprised

Looks interstin, may hafya pick it up if i ever see it in any of my game shops, is it like Escape from monkey island style? Your going to catch up with my limited experience with gaming with one more step ;D I saw that at Lucas...for some reason it just looked like a disney story or something to me. The screen shots look interesting from what little I can see. I bet its similar...maybe. Grims like playing out a novel...and the novel is surreal. Its very slow and contemplative. I like the music and subtle sense of humor in it. Theres another game I forgot about that I played every day for a few months! Ever try ONI? Its an interesting game. They took the detail out of the backgrounds which left a lot more of the puters resources for the character movements. I wish the weapons were better thought out, but even with the guns there is some great detail in the action.

Ya ihave Oni, the idea wasn't bad, the weapons did suck, it wouldn't have hurt to have had better music too, I think if they wanted to make a sequel they could, and they could be successful with that, if they improved at the games weak points, ;D
